Rashaad Ahmad...Quality Hip Hop from the tastemaster

I was digging around on Myspace and found a quality hip hop artist from San Francisco. Rashaan Ahmad, who has a more laid back approach to his music that is considerably jazzy and a bit funky. One thing for sure: He chooses good tracks to spit on! His delivery is very smooth, and hits the beat quite well. His lyrics lacks just a little bit in aggression and "oomph" . But no doubt workable! The album is from The Jazz Liberatorz (http://www.myspace.com/jazzlib)called "Clin d'Oeil" Which is a french word for a "petite suprise" for the new year... Anyway, The album is basically about two french producers (The Jazz Liberatorz) collaborating with world renowned underground emcess & neo-soul singers who do a track each, and tell about what got them into jazz and why they love hip hop. Tapes From Tha Reaper Vol.3

I finally managed to record a decent mix that didnt suck too bad! I got the chance to mix in a few CD's I just bought from my usual store in which I go for the goodies! I played a few from the Likwit Junkies which is made up of DJ Babu & Defari which are two members from the Alcholiks/Likwit Crew. I also managed to spin some more dope tracks from Kool G Rap aswell as some older Reks material, and The Pharcyde aswell. My Mixtape Process

I am sitting in my makeshift studio (My main set-up in my room is removed due to a bug infestation that is dissapearing, if not dissapeared. ) compiling my tracks the way I used to do it with vinyl: Gathering my tracks and putting them in one area (In this case, sense Im not actually sorting physical records. In this case its more like listening to the beat patterns and tempos of prospective tracks to use and creating a playlist to temorarily store them.). I have to listen closely to the tempo of the beat, and possibly store the playlist on my ipod to listen while I go outside to look for one of my good friends to hang with.

Before I do so, Im going to share a collection of maybe 15 to 20 mins of some newly found underground hip hop that I have been randomly searching for to entertain myself while I sip some Chamomile laced Green tea.
