I was in the lab working on a new joint with my man Karmageddon. We have a new song coming out called "Listen". This track is quite melodic aswell as a bit abstract from my other tracks. It basically talks about the fustration we have with the chicks in our everyday lives. Like how when you meet a girl. She doesnt want to listen. And finds things out the hard way. Well... My struggles...

Ive been reading alot of blog postings from other fellow Clevelanders about struggling to survive. Im dealing with it myself with a near bankrupt company thats too scared to lay workers off... But tries to fuck with you by making you workin weird shedules and cutting senior workers hours. Its hard... Its hard.... Im reading about folks that want to burn Quran's (not spelled Koran) when instead they should be shaming these many companies of AmeriKKKa that wants to layoff hundreds of thousands of employees while their profits show a huge increase since the last 2 to 3 years. Fuck burning things! Fuck politics! Lets focus on what we all need to really focus on: SUSTAINABLE JOBS. If your making minimum wage, you may want to think twice about joining the tea party movement.

Thats it! Thats all Im going to say.... I usually write way better than this with correct punctuations,etc. So Im scalling back just like consumers are!

Golden Era Jungle

Im still stuck in nostalgia land! Sorry folks, but with a terrible economy, and terrible times in music history. Its no wonder why people are looking into the past for inspiration!

This was all I used to listen to on my way to school every morning! I used to stay up late and tape a show that came on (and still does) every monday morning at around 2am to 5am and blast these tapes on my way to school, and as soon as I arrive home!



For someone like myelf who is mixed with black and native american who is born in japan... I also had a hard time finding the proper 'black music' for me to listen to. This is what got me into to jungle music! Ive been Djing dnb/jungle since 03' and kinda switched my style more into hip hop about 3 yrs ago.. But Im thinking about mainly spinning the old skool stuff becuase the newer dnb is kinda boring!

Ive been kicking back and chilling to some original old skool/underground hip hop mixtapes and trying to keep myself from being stressed out about this fucked up economy. 3 to 4 years ago when I got stressed out from lack of money and other things, I used to kick back and listen to mixtapes all day. From digging in my old cassette collection of recorded rap songs off college radio to the hundreds of CD's ive burned to stick in my CDJ's to mix with. I have found a way to beat the stess: Mixtapes! If you dont know by now: I have been banned from posting any new mixtapes until July 21st becuase of the popularity of my mixtapes have been driving up the website traffic and blowing up my allowed broadband. Also, As you know. My blogging vacation.

I went on something like a blogging vacation. I had a great time chilling at the lake and hanging out with a friend of mine who lives in California.

Taking some time out to read....

Feeling Blue: My thoughts on certain Jazz tracks..

I am in a deep mood for some serious jazz music at the moment... I found this artist on a internet jazz station and wanted to give him some shine!

Bebop: What it means to me.

I have been taking lots of time to look at jazz music coming from a more artistic and free form of expression in African American music. Its hard to just think how modern day blacks have progressed so much in terms of music and social settings.

One one hand you have people like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, The New Boyz, Etc claiming that they are true musicians who are trying to push a artistic idea forward. And then you have the revolutionary jazz artists of the yester year, who are among those capable of creating timeless music.

People ask me why I wear fedora's and listen to old jazz music alot. The reason: Becuase I only like to surround myself with things in society that I deem to being timeless. Not everyone, nor everything is timeless. Music is timeless due to the fact that the recording which derives from some form of hard to understand language in an artists head. The artist takes this language and applies it to a piece of musical instrument. That instrument is recorded amongst other musical instruments. Those instruments create noise, something that we as humans call music. That music is then transformed into a format, and thus the format is in which the listener begins to actually hear the recording. That is timeless.

So I began my journeys into jazz by dabbling into some bebop. Of course many of you know that I also produce jazzy hip hop, and have sampled many of jazz greats from the past. But what if I actually took the time to study this form of music? Well I am! I have been searching online on as many ecyclopedia's, jazz research sites, articles, books, documentaries, etc..

Bebop is one of those genre's that in real plain english for those who dont understand African American Venacular means: Fuck off! Why? The folks who helped create bebop music were creating this fast pace style for themselves. This is a unapoligetic stance in creating music for people who view music as a artform versus something that 'everybody is supposed to like'. People like Theolonious Monk, Dizzy Gellispie, Art Blakey, Charlie Parker, and others have created something that has its own language.

Most of these artists have taken this language of music and have made it extremely complex and obscure to ward off copycats and pseudo jazz officianados. The artists create sophisticated melodies and chords, add lots of improvisation techniques, and sometimes use very fast tempos to come up with something that is sonically shocking. So shocking that for many years, people have resulted in violence over this music. You know what they always say: "People tend to hate what they dont understand". This form of music isnt something of a fad, or something to please record labels and critics. This is merely a expression of harmonic ingeniousness.

This form of music is one of the most important foundations of what is now called funk, soul, hip hop, r&b.

From 6 feet under....

Im feeling like shit right now as one side of my body is not functioning very well.... But that hasnt stopped me from writing a new jazz compisition. I just made a new jazz song featuring some very complex rhythms and a drum solo.

I am also working on an essay on Bebop Jazz music, and how it relates to Black History Month.. And that will be my contribution for all those regularly reading this blog.

I have alot of free music and essays that I am currently working on... So keep a close lookout!

Meet Mr. Sophisticated....

Yes, I am now know as Mr. Sophisticated and I will be posting up some very complex pieces here for your reading and listening pleasures on this blog!

I am at my peak of complexity as I am a bit more mature and highly intelligent. My intelligence makes me seem awkward to the uncanny.

I have two projects related to this blog that I will be sharing on here:

1. I will be explaining to all of you on how my complex thinking can and will change the world.

2. I will be studying jazz music , as Im currently working on a sophisticated jazz project aimed at those who are trying to feel enlightened whilst studying.

I have also been so bored that I decided to start a new music project out of the inspiration from some bloggers here in Cleveland, OH!

This project focuses on the creation of jazz music created only using my laptop, and my current setup. The music is a very melodic and complex sounding music that I made while reading some local blogs on the net and trying to IM my close friend online. He is currently taking up some college courses and tells me that his work is taking up all his free time so... I thougt I needed to create some kind of mellow form of music to listen to whilst your studying.

I myself plan on taking some college courses this year aswell, so I will be creating this EP and holding on to it to listen to before those exams hit me! This year has been an increasingly rough year on my financialy. So I think its time to create something that I am highly influenced by. Im still working on the Jazzy Hip Hop projects, but I think its time to take some time off from doing so to experiment a bit and try to create jazz music from scratch using a software, some nice sounding speakers, and a pair of headphones.

When I created this project I was looking to be as complex as possible and to entice the listener into thinking they are listening to an entire jazz band. I have created solo's, melodic changes, chord improvisations, and smooth grooving rhythms on these last 2 songs. I was reading a few blogs on blogger about ordinary Clevelanders who were narrating a snippet of their busy lives and was intrigued to create some sort of soundtrack of my perspective of Cleveland.

The project name is called 6th City Pity. A name I created for the sake of the love/hate relationships that this city has to offer from its inhibatants. The project release Im working on is called "Music to study to" after my good friend Nigel who is currently in college.

Ok.... for those of you who know me very well, you will know that I DONT believe in love. I keep getting girls asking me why Im like this. Or telling me I will one day find that ONE.

I could careless really. A girl is like raising a child. You have to pay for her everywhere you go. You have to take care of her. You have to keep seeing her, even when you dont feel like talking to anyone.

I am a very non chalant person, who prefers not to talk to anyone on a near daily basis. I have bad social anxiety. I hate going to crowded areas for extended periods of time. I hate going to court or having to be near people who like to to consistantly stare at other people. And I especially hate small talk!


With that said.... I will be doing a Valentines Day rejection mixtape for all those who were rejected from celebrating Valentines day due to not having a valentine, or being turned down repeatedly.

I will be taking down the Hip Hop Bangers V. 1 & 2 mixtapes very shortly!
